Adam Sandler sides with Chris Rock's Will and Jada Pinkett Smith Jokes

Adam Sandler will not slap Chris Rock.

In his Netflix live comedy special, Chris Rock addressed the Oscars slap, and Adam Sandler is responding to that.

When asked if he believed Rock went too far with the Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith jokes, Sandler, 56, responded, "Never thought that in my life.”

Prior to winning the 2023 Mark Twain Award for American Comedy in Washington, D.C., on Sunday night, Sandler spoke with PEOPLE while on the red carpet.

"I thought he was unbelievably relaxed, funny, thoughtful," continued the 50 First Dates actor. "Crushed it and was real to himself."

"And it was as exciting to watch as when the Super Bowl is on," he added.

"I thought about it all weekend. 'All right, Rock is doing his thing tonight!' Saturday, watched it in my kitchen, laughed my ass off, immediately watched it right after. It was one of the best experiences. I thought it was amazing."

Chris Rock served Will and Jada Pinkett Smith  HARD

Rock, 58, addressed the 2022 Oscars slap and attacked Will Smith and Jada's union at the conclusion of his extensive live comedy set on Netflix.

Although the audience chuckled, he once added, "His wife was f—-ing her son's friend," alluding to Jada's prior "entanglement" with Alsina while away from her 54-year-old husband Will.

Rock's Selective Anger Netflix special mostly discussed cancel culture. In addition, Sandler was questioned about if he believes that, in contrast to the 1990s, cancel culture is hurting modern comedy.

"I don't know. The comedy I'm watching right now. I'm loving," he said Sunday.
