Fifth Time's a Charm? Rupert Murdoch gets engaged to Ann Lesley Smith

Rupert Murdoch is falling in love one last time – or he says so.

The 92-year-old businessman has announced his engagement to Ann Lesley Smith, 66.

Speaking to the New York Post, Murdoch gushed about his new love, saying, “I was very nervous. I dreaded falling in love — but I knew this would be my last. It better be. I’m happy.”

“For us both it’s a gift from God. We met last September,” the former San Fran police chaplain gushed, looking back at how they met.

The pair first met at Rupert’s vineyard Moraga in Bel Air, California, and the rest is history.

“We’re both looking forward to spending the second half of our lives together,” Rupert shared.

The Australian-American socialite first wed Patricia Booker in 1956. The couple shares one child Prudence.

In 1967, Murdoch tied the knot with a Scottish-born cadet journalist Anna Trov. They had three children together.

Only over 15 days after divorcing his second wife, Murdoch exchanged wedding vows with Chinese-born Wendi Deng, 30.

He later married former model Jerry Hall in 2016, with whom he filed for divorce in July 2022.
