Paris Hilton told family about baby's birth moments before social media reveal

Paris Hilton went to lengths to hide the birth of her baby a secret.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the 42-year-old socialite revealed that she broke the news of her baby’s birth to loved ones only moments before revealing it on Instagram.

“My entire life has been so public. I’ve never had anything for myself,” she said. “We decided that we wanted to have this whole experience to ourselves.”

Hilton and her husband Carter Reum welcomed a baby boy via surrogate in January.

She explained: “I want to protect him and to be with him every second. You have this mother instinct that kicks in, which I've never had before."

Before the birth of her miracle baby, the media personality repeatedly expressed her wish to become a moth.

Speaking to People, Hilton once said, "We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, 'This is perfect timing. Usually, I'm on a plane 250 days out of the year, and let's just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,' and we have tons of them just waiting."

"We started going and doing it like a few months in because the world was shut down," she revealed at the time.
