CBS 'ready to worship' SATAN, Sam Smith tweet catches attention

CBS is worshipping with Sam Smith.

Leading up to Sunday night's Grammy Awards, CBS sent out a tweet that generated a stir online. Many people were left wondering what message the media company was attempting to convey.

CBS responded to a tweet from singer Sam Smith that included a picture of the nonbinary performer donning devil horns during a practice.

Smith tweeted a devil emoji along with the words "This is going to be SPECIAL."

CBS responded to the tweet, "….you can say that again. We are ready to worship!"

Conservatives on Twitter criticised Smith and transgender artist Kim Petras' filthy performance of "Unholy" during the music awards show. Smith appeared to be bowing down in worship while wearing a devilish costume.

The bizarre post caught people's attention on Monday. A few people questioned whether the tweet was real, while others saw it as a sign of the times.

Producer and director of music videos Robby Starbuck said the tweet was an admission that CBS had been "compromised by evil."

"This is what CBS said to Sam Smith right before he did his demonic performance as Satan. Think about that. They aren’t even trying to hide how compromised by the evil they are anymore. It’s all out in the open now," he tweeted.

Many people stated the publication would do anything "for ratings" and questioned whether it "worshipped Satan."

"Gotta love @CBS openly admitting that they, alongside Sam Smith, ‘WORSHIP’ (their words, not mine) the devil..." Shawn Farash, a podcast host and imitation of Donald Trump, writes.

The Media Research Center, a right-wing nonprofit media watchdog, questioned whether CBS was admitting they worshipped the devil.

The account questioned, "Did CBS just admit it worships Satan?"

The admission was seen as "a big story" by independent journalist Chris Nelson.

"I mean i think it’s a pretty big story that a TV network with a News Department that is relied on by a lot of people openly says they worship satan. That’s kinda big don’t you think? I mean I already know this but here they are saying it," he mocked.
