NFL player Tom Brady announces he's 'retiring for good'

Tom Brady is hitting the sack – “for good” this time.

The 45-year-old football player announced his official retirement via a video on social media Wednesday, Feb. 1.

“I’ll get to the point right away: I’m retiring for good,” he told the camera. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first.”

Alluding to his previous string of retirement and un-retirement, Brady quipped that athletes only get “one super emotional retirement essay,” which he admittedly “used” up last year.

“Thank you, guys, so much to every single one of you for supporting me, my family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors,” he continued.

“Thank you, guys, for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn’t change a thing.”

The NFL player’s history of constantly retiring and un-retiring caused a strain in his marriage with former Victoria’s Secret model Gisele Bundchen and the couple ended up divorcing last year.
