Miley Cyrus made 2023 her year by releasing new single, Flowers, on New Years' Eve

2023 will be Miley Cyrus's year with a new release of her single.

Dolly Parton, the singer's godmother, co-hosted Miley's New Year's Eve Party for the second year in a row on Saturday night. It was reported that the 29-year-old singer will release a new song on January 13 called Flowers.

After a commercial break, a clip of Cyrus striding down a street played, followed by the announcement.

The Prisoner singer appeared in the video wearing a gold tiny dress that showed her tummy while a preview of the new song played.

"NEW YEAR, NEW MILEY, NEW SINGLE. FLOWERS JANUARY 13," then dashed across a black background in white lettering.

Online rumours regarding new Cyrus music first surfaced in November after the "Angels Like You" singer reconnected with Mike WiLL Made-It in the recording studio. The two previously collaborated on Cyrus' 2013 fourth studio album Bangerz.

Hip-hop group Rae Sremmurd posted several images from a studio session where Cyrus appeared to be recording new music at the moment on Instagram. The post's caption read, "EAR DRUMMERS & HEAD BANGERZ!"

In the pictures, Mike, 33, Swae Lee, and Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd, who are also signed to Mike's EarDrummers Entertainment brand, could be seen talking with Cyrus while she sang and held a microphone.
