Cardi B just dropped the bomb: her new album, Am I the Drama?, is officially on the way.
On Tuesday, Sept. 16, the Grammy-winner took over Instagram to announce the release date of her highly anticipated sophomore album, set to drop this Friday, Sept. 19.
The Bodak Yellow hitmaker shared a stunning and dramatic post on Instagram, featuring a list of collaborators that has the entire industry talking.
The names on the album art include some of the masters of the music world, featuring Janet Jackson, Megan Thee Stallion, Selena Gomez, and Lizzo.
The list also includes Kehlani, Summer Walker, Tyle, and, of course, the ever-so-mysterious Cash Cobain, which has everyone speculating about what kind of track that will be.
On Monday, Sept. 15, in a preview of her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Cardi said she feels like she’s about to give birth all over again.
“I am so overwhelmed, like I’m excited and I’m very nervous, but it’s so many different feelings. I just cannot wait to get it out [of] the way,” Cardi B said, before quipping, “It’s like I’m pushing another baby or something.”
The title Am I the Drama? is Cardi B’s cheeky move of flipping the meme-worthy phrase into a statement.
She embraces her courtroom controversy, media buzz, and unapologetic persona, turning “drama” into rebirth, rage, and realness.
