Prince Charles deeply regrets forcing Prince William, Harry to walk behind Diana's coffin

The then Prince Charles feels sorry about knocking his his sons Prince William and Harry down to walk behind his first wife's coffin as the wounds from that moment have lasted for both brothers up to the present day.

Harry's upcoming memoir Spare which is due out on January 10 is all set to open up with the most heartbreaking scenes any royal follower could remember.

15 year old William and Harry, 12, solemnly walked as Diana's coffin procession through London to Westminster Abbey in 1997.

Diana died in a tragic car crash that left a void in the hearts of her beloved kids, who long for her still.

Christopher Anderson , author of book The King: Life of King Charles 111, notes at the Royally Podcast that the now king is lately apologetic for what happened, "I think it haunts him, as it haunts them."

"[William and Harry have] spoken about it. I’ve written that, I believe, it’s a form of PTSD. Harry uses terms like the triggering of even flying into London, and it reminds him of that day when he had to walk behind the coffin."

"They were, more or less, bullied into doing it by the Palace, by the men in grey who really run the Palace, [who] Diana used to complain about."

He adds, "The new king understands that, to some extent, he is responsible for [William and Harry] having to suffer through."

Readers will immediately be taken back to one of the most endearing searing images of the twentieth century:  two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror.
