Rapper Lil Tjay shot suspiciously, undergoes surgery

Rapper Lil Tjay is going under surgery according to a post in Los Angeles Times. The Rapper was shot earlier in New Jersey.

The shooting with two victims happened around midnight on Wednesday at 14 The Promenade, a shopping center in Edgewater, according to a tweet from the Bergen County prosecutor's office early on Thursday morning. Both the Edgewater Police Department and the major crimes unit are looking into the incident.

According to a news report by TMZ, The 21-year-old rapper was one of the victims, and he was having surgery. His injuries' severity and state weren't yet known.

The shooting apparently took place at two locations, a Chipotle restaurant at 14 The Promenade and a neighboring Exxon gas station.

The "Run it Up" and "In My Head" rapper shared a "PSA" on his Instagram Stories right before the shooting that read, "Just because you've been around a person doesn't make you entitled to the fruits of that person's labor. Envy Is At An All Time High Be Safe Outchea”

This week, the rapper uploaded a clip from his next song "Stressed" on TikTok and asked fans when he should release it.
