Brian Cox admits he was being too harsh about Johnny Depp in his recent book
Scottish actor Brian Cox regrets being too harsh about Johnny Depp and for labeling him "overblown" in his newly published book titled Putting The Rabbit In the Hat.
In the book, as per Variety, Cox revealed that he was happy to turn down the movie Pirates of the Caribbean as it offered him the "most thankless part" but added that he felt regretful about his comments on Depp.
Regarding this at the Jimmy Kimmel show, the Succession actor said, "It's very much the 'Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow' show, and Depp, personable though I'm sure he is, is so overblown, so overrated."
"I sort of regretted what I wrote in the book about Depp because I'm not like that normally; I was just being a bit glib, a bit flip."
Further elaborating on it, he stated, "I just thought I was being a bit harsh. You know what it's like — you go for the easy joke. And I went for the easy joke."
