Zac Efron wins his first Emmy for Outstanding Daytime Program Host

Hollywood actor Zac Efron has won his first Emmy award.

On Sunday, the Daytime Emmys unveiled its list of winners in the lifestyle and fiction categories, with Efron winning Outstanding Daytime Program Host for his Netflix series Down to Earth with Zac Efron.

Taking to the social media, the Baywatch actor expressed his joy and detailed the overwhelming emotions on winning his first Emmy award.

The Greatest Showman star said he is overjoyed to win the award. Turned to his Instagram, the actor wrote, "Wow! Never expected this and so grateful."

"A HUGE thank you to DaytimeEmmys netflix and our small but powerful crew, #downtoearth who made this show what it is."

"Most of all, thank all of you for watching and enjoying D2E. This is for you," he added.

Efron, 33, has been traveling the world for his exploration series over the past few years, is currently filming season two of D2E. Season 2 of the series is expected to premiere in 2022.
