Paris Hilton shares photos when she suffered 'trauma, abuse' as a teenager

Prominent American media personality Paris Hilton has taken the courage to share with her fans about the traumatic time of her life on Instagram.

The entrepreneur and socialite shared photos from her teenage period. She can be seen as an 18-year-old girl, who has come home after experiencing emotional and psychological abuse at her boarding school.

In the photos, Paris can be seen with muted expressions as she posed in a black T-shirt and pants.

"These photos were taken when I was 18 and had recently come home from the horrible experiences I went through at #ProvoCanyonSchool. I can see the pain in my eyes," she wrote.

"I was so traumatized that I pretended everything was okay, trying to block out the painful memories. Looking at this now, I know that the teen me would be so incredibly proud of the woman I am today,” she continued.

"Being brave and using my voice to make a difference and save children from having to endure the abuse myself and so many others have had to go through. #iSeeYouSurvivor#BreakingCodeSilence," she wrote.

In her new documentary, This Is Paris, released in September last year, on Hilton’s YouTube channel, the entrepreneur revealed for the first time the horrific abuse she says she endured as a teen while at a boarding school in Utah.

In an interview with People magazine, she talked about the trauma and said, “I buried my truth for so long. But I’m proud of the strong woman I’ve become. People might assume everything in my life came easy to me, but I want to show the world who I truly am.”
