Adam Sandler's surprise role fools Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce's wedding guests

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding has sparked fresh buzz after a guest revealed the one surprise that had everyone convinced they were being pranked.

American Century Investments CEO Jonathan Thomas has shared new details about the lavish ceremony, claiming the couple's 1,000 guests burst into laughter when comedian Adam Sandler walked to the altar to officiate the wedding. 

Many initially assumed it was part of a comedy sketch before realising the Hollywood star had actually become legally ordained for the occasion.

Speaking on The Compound and Friends podcast, Thomas said Sandler struck the perfect balance between humour and heartfelt emotion during a 20-minute address. 

He joked during the traditional vows by telling the newlyweds they would never have to worry about the "for richer or poorer" part before encouraging them to "kiss often" every morning and every night.

But it was the couple's personal vows that truly stole the show.

Thomas admitted he was moved to tears as NFL star Kelce spoke openly and emotionally for around half an hour. 

Looking around, he realised he wasn't alone, with several of the Kansas City Chiefs' toughest players also wiping away tears.

Swift then delivered her own self-written vows, which Thomas described as poetic, sincere and deeply emotional, leaving guests captivated throughout the ceremony.

The celebrations reportedly transformed Madison Square Garden beyond recognition, with an elaborate castle entrance, games and luxury giveaways for guests. 

According to Thomas, the musical entertainment was just as spectacular, with the Lover singer performing alongside Sir Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks before a string of surprise celebrity performances continued throughout the night.
