Katie Holmes goes public with rumoured new romance

Katie Holmes has set tongues wagging after she was spotted looking loved-up with artist Jason Bard Yarmosky during a night out in New York.

The Dawson's Creek actress fuelled romance speculation when she arrived hand-in-hand with Jason for a screening of Olivia Wilde's new film The Invite. 

The 47-year-old actress kept things effortlessly chic in a green skirt paired with a white T-shirt, finishing the look with a red handbag and green earrings, while Jason opted for an understated all-black outfit.

The pair appeared relaxed and comfortable in each other's company, although she was seen glancing over her shoulder as they made their way into the event.

An eyewitness told People that the chemistry between the two was impossible to miss throughout the evening.

"He was whispering in her ear, and she was laughing. They seemed very easy together and there was a smile on her face all night," the source said.

The insider added that Katie even rested her head on his shoulder during the screening, describing the pair as looking "very cute".

After the film, the rumoured couple continued their evening at an afterparty at The Boat House in New York, where they were reportedly seen chatting and mingling with friends.

If the pair are indeed dating, it would mark Katie's first public romance since her brief relationship with musician Bobby Wooten III, which ended in 2022 after less than a year together.

Before that, the Batman Begins actress famously enjoyed a six-year relationship with Jamie Foxx following her high-profile divorce from Tom Cruise, with whom she shares daughter Suri, now 20.

Despite years of public fascination surrounding her love life, Katie has consistently kept romance out of the spotlight. 

In a past interview, she admitted she had no long-term dating plan, joking that she still felt "like a teenager in a lot of ways" rather than a grown woman.
