Shania Twain gives real reason behind skipping Taylor-Travis nuptials

Shania Twain, who shares mutual admiration for Taylor Swift, was among the guests who could not attend the wedding of the year earlier this month.

Addressing her absence from the nuptials, the country musician revealed that Taylor and Travis Kelce’s wedding clashed with Harry Styles’ Together, Together tour at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 3.

“Taylor invited me to her wedding, and I couldn't go because I was already committed to Harry's shows,” said the 60-year-old songstress in a recent interview with Canadian TV Etalk.

Noting that Swift and Styles dated between 2012 and 2013, Twain quipped, “It's just kind of funny that that happened that way.”

When the interviewer asked her to choose Styles over Swift, the You're Still the One singer reiterated she did want to attend the grand Madison Square Garden wedding in New York.

“I would have done anything to be at Taylor’s wedding… I would have done anything, and that would have been really lovely for me to be there — but I was with Harry,” she told the journalist.

More than 1,000 guests reportedly attended the star-studded nuptials, including Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Ed Sheeran, his wife Cherry, Camila Cabello, Ellie Goulding, Mariska Hargitay, Dakota Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris and many more.

Hollywood actor Adam Sandler officiated the wedding and the bride's brother, Austin Swift, served as her Man of Honour, while the groom's brother, Jason Kelce, was his Best Man.
