Beyoncé gives Jay-Z a fresh buzz cut in heartfelt moment

Beyoncé played an unexpected role in Jay-Z's latest career milestone, giving the rap icon a fresh buzz cut in a touching video shown before the opening night of his anniversary concerts at New York's Yankee Stadium.

The intimate clip, projected on giant screens before Jay-Z took the stage, showed Beyoncé carefully shaving her husband's hair as he sat in the stadium stands wearing a vintage Yankees jersey. 

The new look marked a return to the close-cropped hairstyle that defined much of his early career.

The haircut kicked off a three-night concert series celebrating the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint, two albums widely regarded as defining moments in Jay-Z's career.

According to People, the transformation also comes just weeks after Jay-Z ended his decade-long freeform locs. 

Earlier this year, Beyoncé revealed that he had grown out his hair to encourage their daughter, Blue Ivy, to embrace her natural curls while also honoring his late father.

The family celebration continued during the concert, with Beyoncé making a surprise appearance on stage to perform alongside her husband. 

Moreover, Blue Ivy also joined her father, delighting the crowd with a piano performance before the pair shared an emotional embrace.
