Timothee Chalamet becomes 'unlucky' for France in FIFA semi final

Timothee Chalamet, who is known for his role in several movies, pulled up to the semi-finals of FIFA World Cup 2026.

The 30-year-old actor showed immense support to France as they get crushed by Spain.

The winning team were able to score 2 against 0, eliminating France from the FIFA World Cup matches before proceeding with the finals.

The Oscar nominee was spotted cheering for the footballers as he held the jersey high for the camera, sending fans in to a frenzy and sparking a debate after they lost.

Referring to his unexpected appearance at the match, one of the X users noted: “No wonder France lost.” Another netizen blamed him: “They lost because of him.”

Meanwhile a netizen penned down: “HE JINXED IT.”

This came after the Dune: Part Three lead wholeheartedly celebrated the victory of The New York Knicks at the NBA Championship.

Timothee has been a sports person, paying visit to the games and cheering for teams along with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
