Tyler Mane has opened up about his diagnosis of a rare breast cancer and the start of his chemotherapy.

On Tuesday, June 10, the actor took to Facebook in a video to discuss about his condition with his social media admirers.

In the video posted, he said, "I have some bad news. I start chemo today. One in 750 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, and I'm one of them."

He continued, "Because it's rarely talked about, it's usually found at later stages and has worse outcomes. I want to change that."

Moreover, he added, "Come along for my journey to kick this thing in the a**. Send this to 10 of your friends and have them follow me because people need to hear this."

The clip concluded with him in hospital as he started treatment, exclaiming, "F**k cancer!"

In his caption, he penned, "Yep. I have breast cancer. And yep, it's super rare. Only 1% of breast cancers are men. I’ll be honest, my first reaction was to keep it secret. I mean it's kind of embarrassing."

He later credited his wife, Renae Geerlings, for urging him to seek treatment after early concerns were initially dismissed.

For the unversed, Mane is best known for playing Sabretooth in X-Men and Michael Myers in Rob Zombie’s Halloween films.
