Olivia Rodrigo shocks fans with Robert Smith duet reveal

Olivia Rodrigo has finally disclosed the first ever featured artist on her music catalogue, confirming that The Cure frontman Robert Smith appears on a duet from her upcoming third album.

The announcement took place at Primavera Sound, where the song was premiered with a surprise guest joining her onstage.

“It’s really special to me for so many reasons, primarily because it’s the first song I’ve ever had a feature on,” she said while presenting the song to festivalgoers.

The collaboration had been kept under wraps ahead of the release of Rodrigo's third studio album, despite some music industry insiders hearing the song during a private listening session.

Rodrigo and Smith previously performed together at Glastonbury, where they sang The Cure hits Just Like Heaven and Friday I’m in Love.

The duet will appear on Rodrigo’s third studio album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, which is set to arrive next Friday.
