Kelsea Ballerini opens up about her most exciting chapter yet

Kelsea Ballerini is embracing a fresh chapter in New York City after her split from actor Chase Stokes, and it sounds like she’s living straight out of a rom-com.

The 32-year-old country star has temporarily swapped Nashville for the bright lights of the Big Apple.

She admitted that she’s finally getting the New York experience she’s dreamed about for years.

Speaking about her new adventure, Kelsea revealed she felt it was time for a change after releasing her recent music projects. 

Rather than diving straight into the next phase of her career, the singer decided to step back and focus on herself.

And it appears she’s loving every minute of it.

Describing the move as her very own “Carrie Bradshaw moment”, Cowboys Cry Too hitmaker said she now spends evenings sitting on the stoop outside her New York home.

The Half of My Hometown singer admitted the experience has opened her eyes to new possibilities, helping her reconnect with her independence and reminding her to stay open to new friendships and opportunities.

While she has no plans to make New York her permanent home, the songstress says the city has already taught her valuable lessons about growth and self-discovery. 

She’s also set herself an important mission before she leaves, finding the perfect dirty martini.

For the chart-topping star, the move marks a major change after spending most of her life in Tennessee, where her friends and family are based. 

She described striking out on her own as both daunting and exciting.
