Gordon Ramsay reunites with former rival Marco Pierre White for new BBC series

Gordon Ramsay will reunite with his former mentor and longtime rival Marco Pierre White, alongside fellow celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal, in a new BBC documentary series examining the rise of Britain's culinary elite.

Titled The Rise of the Rockstar Chef, the three-part series will chart how the trio helped redefine British fine dining during the 1990s and early 2000s, turning chefs into household names and placing the UK's restaurant industry firmly on the global culinary map. 

Produced by Studio Ramsay Global, the series is set to air later this year on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

The documentary will feature candid interviews with Ramsay, White and Blumenthal, alongside contributions from food critics, maîtres d' and former chefs who witnessed the intense competition and headline-making feuds that shaped the era. 

According to Daily Mail, the series will culminate in a rare on-screen reunion between the three culinary figures, reflecting on their careers and lasting influence on the restaurant industry.

Ramsay trained under White at Harveys in London during the 1980s, a relationship that later deteriorated into one of the most publicized rivalries in the culinary world. 

Moreover, White famously acknowledged making Ramsay cry during his early years in the kitchen, while the pair exchanged barbs publicly for decades.

BBC Head of Commissioning Catherine Catton said the chefs "changed the world of restaurants forever," while Studio Ramsay described the programme as the story of a culinary revolution that reshaped British dining and created the era of the "rockstar chef."
