Hilaria Baldwin reveals insights into married life with Alec Baldwin

Hilaria Baldwin has opened up about the approach she believes has kept her marriage with Alec Baldwin strong over the years.

During her latest chat, the 42-year-old businesswoman said, "We just let each other be, and I think that’s one of the reasons our relationship has gone on as long as it has."

In an interview with Daily Mail, she stated, "Because we are polar opposites and so different," adding that carving out time for each other remains a key part of their routine.

For the unversed, the couple, who have a 26-year age gap, tied the knot in 2012.

She went on to add, “We take a lot of time for date nights. We’ve been traveling a lot for work recently but we try to have a lot of date nights.”

Moreover, she mentioned that their evenings together are often simple but meaningful, whether dining out or staying in.

“He loves a good dinner, we either go out or I cook and we usually end up chatting and catching each other up on our seven kids and our projects,” she explained.

Reflecting on public perception of their relationship, the yoga instructor acknowledged early criticism. 

“Take a 27-year-old yoga instructor married to a rich and famous older man – it sounds ridiculous. It sounds like a bad ‘SNL’ sketch,” she noted.

“It worked out luckily, but we poke fun at each other in our family all the time,” she pointed out. “I think people expect that Alec wanted somebody he could boss around, and we’re on the same level together.”
