Kate Moss life story could hit Netflix in star-studded documentary deal

Kate Moss is reportedly being lined up for a blockbuster Netflix documentary that could finally pull back the curtain on one of fashion’s most famously private icons.

A production company is said to be pitching a new series about the supermodel.

Notably, timed to mark the 35th anniversary of her breakthrough 1992 Calvin Klein adverts, the images that turned her into a global sensation overnight. 

Streaming giant Netflix is believed to be circling the idea, especially after its success with high-profile documentary projects featuring stars like Kylie Minogue and David and Victoria Beckham.

According to The Sun’s TVBiz column, insiders claim there are early signs the 52-year-old model may be softening her long-held “never complain, never explain” stance.

“Although she is known for her ‘Never complain, never explain’ approach to life, there are signs that she might now be willing to discuss her life in a way she never has before,” a source said.

They added that securing Kate would be a major coup for any streamer and could even spark a bidding war, if the project gets off the ground.

But there’s a catch as the insider described it as a “chicken-and-egg situation”, suggesting Kate’s involvement may depend on Netflix or another major platform officially signing on first.

“There is a will among producers,” the source said. 

“They’re desperate to find a way to make it happen.”

The supermodel remains one of the most recognisable faces of the 1990s fashion boom, but has increasingly taken control of her narrative in recent years.

Earlier this year, her daughter Lila, 23, marked Kate’s birthday with a sweet throwback post, calling her “mummy” and sharing a childhood photo online.
