Nicolas Cage, who has the most "unpredictable" career in the industry, recently revealed that he was thinking about quitting acting.
The famous actor, known for his work in over 100 movies, revealed to Extra that he considered retirement.
While speaking, he recalled the time, "I was thinking along those lines after Dream Scenario because I didn’t know what else I could do with cinema."
He explained that he didn't understand what he should do at that time in his life, so he thought leaving the industry was a better move.
The 62-year-old added, "Then I did think, okay, maybe I’ll keep acting, because I have to, out of necessity, which you know, necessity is the mother of invention."
He continued, "I thought, all right, let’s try something else. So it’s, what’s next? Television. What’s next? Maybe stage."
The actor went into spiral in 2023 but decided not to give up and worked in MGM+ and Prime Video's television series, Spider-Noir.
It is to be noted that he also talked about his latest project, "I’m just trying to learn more and more, and I felt after I finished the series of Spider-Noir, it did empower me, I felt like, ‘Wow, I actually did it. I got through a season of television.’ It’s not easy."
For the unfamiliar, the first episode of the series will be released on May 27, 2026.
