Mandy Moore recently broke her silence on Ashley Tisdale French’s toxic mom group drama.
This is Us star addressed the controversy regarding the Disney alum’s essay, Breaking Up with My Toxic Mom Group for The Cut.
During an appearance on latest episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live on May 18, Mandy said that she found this whole situation “very upsetting”.
“It's wild to have anybody talk about your life, and I know Hilary Duff has sort of mentioned this too,” continued the 42-year-old.
The Princess Diaries actress noted that they both have “grown up” in this entertainment business where people doubt our choices and scrutinise them.
However, Mandy shared that this was “something altogether different and decidedly way more upsetting… It just cuts to the core”.
A Walk to Remember actress opened up that the “most important thing in my life is being a kind person and like that legacy of kindness, and anyone even insinuating that that might not be the case, and with the company that I choose to keep is very upsetting”.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Mandy confessed that she’s scared by confrontation but she also a “huge proponent of communication”.
Reflecting on the biggest takeaway from the whole debacle, the Tangled actress actress pointed out that it “just sort of it perpetuates this silly trope that women can't be supportive of one another”.
Mandy added that we as women are “inherently petty and that we're inherently out to one-up each other, and I have not felt that one iota since becoming a parent”.
