Shakira breaks silence after being cleared of tax fraud charges

Shakira, who is known for her chart-topping hit tracks, shared a simple yet powerful response after being acquitted of the tax fraud charges.

It was declared by the court that the Treasury is bound to pay her over $70 million alongside interest.

After the case was overturned, the 49-year-old turned to her social media for a stylish post which featured her in a colourful bodysuit.

She noticeably added Rihanna’s famous song B*tch Better Have My Money, seemingly mocking the case that has been going on for a long time.

According to the court, the money was “improperly collected” from the songstress due to conflict over her taxes.

Shakira earned legal victory as the authorities filing the case were unable to provide ample evidence that the musician stayed 183 days in Spain in 2011.

The Waka Waka hitmaker insisted that she has been “enduring brutal public targeting orchestrated campaigns” to hurt her reputation.
