Eminem’s former wife Kim back in headlines over new arrest reports

Eminem’s family has once again found itself under the spotlight after his ex-wife Kim Mathers was reportedly arrested on suspicion of drink-driving just days after appearing in court over another alleged impaired driving incident.

The latest drama comes as the rap legend has been enjoying a major personal milestone after recently becoming a grandfather for the first time after daughter Hailie Jade Mathers welcoming her baby.

According to reports, Kim, whose legal name is Kimberly Ann Scott, was arrested during the early hours of Thursday morning after allegedly being involved in a crash near Detroit, Michigan. 

Police said the 51-year-old reportedly struck another vehicle, although no injuries were recorded.

TMZ reported Kim was booked into Macomb County Jail in Mt Clemens before later being released from custody while investigations continue.

The reported arrest comes only days after she appeared in court over a separate February incident. 

Prosecutors alleged she crashed into a parked vehicle while out shopping with her teenage son Parker and several of his friends before later driving into her own garage door.

Kim reportedly pleaded no contest to charges of impaired driving and failing to report an accident, with sentencing currently expected in June.

Bodycam footage linked to the earlier case allegedly showed officers discovering bottles believed to contain a mixture of alcohol and soft drinks inside the vehicle. 

Kim was also reportedly seen taking a breathalyser test before later being treated in hospital for minor injuries.

Kim and Eminem’s turbulent relationship became one of the most infamous romances in music history. 

The pair married in 1999, divorced in 2001, remarried briefly in 2006 and split again months later, with their rocky relationship inspiring tracks including Mockingbird, Kim and '97 Bonnie & Clyde.
