Eve Plumb, best known for portraying Jan Brady on the iconic sitcom The Brady Bunch, is preparing to release a deeply personal memoir titled Happiness Included: Jan Brady and Beyond.
The upcoming book, scheduled for release in April 2026 through Kensington Books, will explore Plumb’s six-decade career in television, film, and theater while also offering insight into her life away from the spotlight.
The memoir includes behind-the-scenes memories from The Brady Bunch, personal reflections, and photographs from her private archives.
Plumb said she decided to finally tell her story after years of being asked to contribute to other projects.
“If I’m going to share my stories, it’s going to be in MY book,” she told People.
In an exclusive excerpt, Plumb recalled auditioning for The Brady Bunch as a child actor and unexpectedly landing the role of middle daughter Jan without even reading lines during the casting process.
Beyond the beloved sitcom, the actress also reflects on navigating child stardom, taking on dramatic roles after the series ended, and building careers in painting and entrepreneurship alongside acting.
Plumb has continued appearing in television projects over the years, while The Brady Bunch remains one of America’s most enduring and recognizable sitcoms.
