Howard Stern may be facing fresh legal drama behind the scenes, but according to wife Beth Stern, the shock-jock legend is happier than ever after signing a major new deal with SiriusXM.
The 72-year-old broadcasting icon had sparked retirement rumours last year as fans questioned whether he was finally ready to walk away from radio after decades at the top.
But Howard stunned listeners in December when he confirmed he had signed a new three-year contract to keep The Howard Stern Show on air.
Now Beth has lifted the lid on life behind the microphone, insisting the new schedule has transformed her husband’s outlook.
Speaking during an appearance on Andy Cohen Live, Beth revealed she played a “very influential” role in the negotiations and said the reduced workload has left heer husband “very happy”.
She explained the radio veteran still loves broadcasting and believes the show keeps him “connected” to the world after years as one of America’s most outspoken media figures.
Howard himself previously admitted he enjoys having more free time while still staying on air, joking to listeners: “I’m never bored. I’m busy every minute.”
But the upbeat career update arrives amid growing controversy surrounding a lawsuit filed by former assistant Leslie Kuhn, who accused the couple of creating a toxic working environment at their Hamptons home.
Court filings allege Kuhn faced “immense pressure” while helping manage Beth’s animal rescue operations and the couple’s household.
The lawsuit also claims disputes surrounding a non-disclosure agreement and her dismissal were “manufactured”.
Howard has fiercely denied the allegations, branding the case a “shakedown” and a “transparent sham”, while his legal team insists the Sterns are fully entitled to protect their privacy.
Despite the courtroom storm, he appears determined to keep talking.
