Jodie Comer has admitted she’s finally putting herself first after years of throwing everything into her booming acting career.

The 33-year-old Liverpool star opened up in a deeply personal new interview with Harper's Bazaar UK, revealing she’s now focusing more on her private life and emotional wellbeing instead of chasing strict career goals.

The Killing Eve actress confessed she’s never mapped out her future and described herself as “a bit loosey-goosey” when it comes to life plans.

But after years in the spotlight, Jodie says she’s learning to listen to herself rather than constantly seeking approval from others.

Speaking candidly, she explained that she wants to spend just as much energy caring for herself as she does perfecting her performances.

Despite becoming one of Britain’s most celebrated stars, Jodie also admitted she has battled insecurities about not being classically trained.

Growing up in a working-class family in Liverpool, she revealed she sometimes felt like “a bit of a fraud” compared to actors with prestigious drama school backgrounds.

The Last Duel star even confessed she felt uncomfortable discussing famous classical works because they never felt natural to her.

But Jodie believes her raw emotional instinct is what helped shape her success.

She recalled a drama teacher once telling her she had powerful emotions at a very young age, although she sometimes brought tears into scenes before they had even begun.

Now starring in 28 Years Later, Jodie said she still craves demanding roles that push her emotionally and leave her feeling “spent” after filming.
