Blake Lively brought her kids along to Met Gala 2026 in the most creative way possible.
The 38-year-old made her way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday, May 4, for the annual Met Gala, this year centered around a Costume Art theme and Fashion is Art dress code.
The real talking point of her look was not the outfit itself but what she carried. Lively showed up with a custom Judith Leiber clutch featuring watercolor drawings made by her four kids James, 11, Inez, 9, Betty, 6, and Olin, 3 with Ryan Reynolds.
Every child had their own side of the bag, making the clutch feel more like a family memory than a fashion accessory.
Speaking to Vogue on the red carpet, she said, “I’m shy, I just like to have my kids with me,” adding that having their artwork included allowed her to carry them with her in a symbolic way.
She also joked, “I probably could have fit them under my dress, to be honest. I should have snuck them under there.”
