Ethan Hawke gets candid about his daughter Maya’s surprise wedding

Ethan Hawke has recently shared his thoughts about his daughter Maya Hawke’s surprise wedding to singer-songwriter Christian Lee Hutson.

The Blue Moon actor spoke to Entertainment Tonight at the Time100 Gala in New York City, saying, “That was pretty fun.”

“What really makes it is, you know, walking your daughter down the aisle… I’ve had a lot of feelings in my life and that was one I have no words for what that feels like,” explained the 56-year-old.

Before Sunrise actor pointed out that he “has no vocabulary for that. I felt like I was 13 experiencing life for the first time”.

Elsewhere in the interview, Ethan also lauded his daughter’s new husband, stating, “The man she married is an amazing young man, Christian, so I’m a very lucky individual.”

Earlier in March, Maya opened up about her nuptials for the first time at the premiere of her new movie, Wishful Thinking.

Speaking to People at the time, the Stranger Things actress said, “I am a very, very lucky person who’s very happy right now… And yeah, I couldn’t be more grateful.”

Maya also told Page Six, “I feel so lucky to have found my best friend and to have someone I can tell anything to.”

“It makes something like getting married feel like, ‘Oh, of course,’ you know, not like, ‘What?’ And I’m very, very, very lucky, so I’m really happy,” added the actress.
