Sydney Sweeney is reportedly upset after her cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2 was cut during post-production, despite already filming the scene.

According to the latest findings, the source said, “The producers can make all the excuses they want, but it’s a gigantic slap in the face to Sydney.”

On Thursday, April 23, an industry insider told In Touch Weekly, “She’s got every right to be furious at the way she’s been treated.”

For context, the 28-year-old actress had filmed a brief appearance where she played herself, a celebrity client being styled by Emily Blunt’s character, Emily Charlton.

The sequence reportedly ran for around three minutes before it was removed as part of a broader creative decision.

As per tipster, “It was a huge waste of her time, and further proof, not that she needed it, that a large contingent of Hollywood … are out to cause her trouble and trip her up whenever they can,” with people in her circle allegedly calling it plain jealousy.

Meanwhile, the star is said to be trying to stay composed, the situation has still reportedly left her shaken.

“She’s thinking long and hard about upping sticks and leaving Hollywood behind,” the source added. “She doesn’t need this negativity in her life.”

Moreover, an insider mentioned that she is focusing on moving forward, even as the film continues development ahead of its May 1, 2026 release.
