Maya Hawke offers rare insights about married life with Christian Hutson

Maya Hawke has recently revealed how she feels now after tying the knot with Christian Lee Hutson.

Speaking to Page Six at the SXSW 2026 world premiere of her new film, Wishful Thinking, Maya said that she was “ecstatically happy” nearly a month after marrying Christian in a surprise wedding.

“I mean... love is the best,” remarked the Stranger Things actress. 

Elsewhere in the interview, Maya also offered advice to the characters from her new movie, saying, “And like, you know, even to connect it to [the characters in ‘Wishful Thinking’], if I had any advice for Charlie and Julia, it would be that they found a way to be more honest with each other about how they feel”.

The Do Revenge actress added that she feels “so lucky to have found my best friend and to have someone I can tell anything to” while talking about her husband Christian.

“It makes something like getting married feel like, oh, of course, you know, not like what, and I’m very, very, very lucky, so I’m really happy,” added the 27-year-old.

For those unversed, Maya and Christian reportedly tied the knot in a surprise Valentine’s Day wedding held at St. George’s Episcopal Church in New York City last month.
