Offset has broken his silence for the first time since being shot outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
As per his recent interview, the rapper opened up about the incident and how he is currently processing the experience.
Speaking on the Creators Inc. Podcast with Andy Bachman just six days after the incident, he revealed he was shot in the hip and, despite the trauma, refused to slow down.
He said, "People get shot every day. You got to keep pushing. Like Energizer Bunny, man. Keep this s**t pushing.”
He went on to add, “The show don't ever stop at the end of the day. I was blessed enough to be able to still move. So, I'm still moving.'”
Additionally, he said, “The grind don't stop bro. I don't want nobody feel sorry for me or no s**t like that. Like I'm blessed. I can keep pushing. So why would I just sit down? I got to keep pushing. I got to keep going.'”
Even while recovering, he continued working, appearing in Los Angeles and later taking the stage at Coachella in a wheelchair, still pushing through performances and music commitments.
Moreover, he expressed gratitude to fans and shared that he is prioritizing recovery, family, and music.
As of now, authorities have not filed any charges, although the Resume hitmaker Lil Tjay was briefly taken into custody at the scene and released on a disorderly conduct charge.
