Why was Nicole Kidman rushed to hospital?

Hollywood icon Nicole Kidman proved the show must go on, even as she battled a nasty bout of flu that landed her in hospital.

The 58-year-old star stunned cast and crew after pushing through a gruelling shoot for Apple TV+ drama Margo’s Got Money Troubles, despite being visibly unwell. 

According to co-star Nick Offerman, the day nearly unravelled when news broke early in the morning that Nicole might not make it.

The scene in question, a massive fan convention packed with hundreds of extras, had been meticulously planned, with only one day scheduled to capture the chaos. 

“We thought we’d lost her,” Nick revealed, recalling the tension on set.

But in true A-list fashion, Babygirl actress made a dramatic entrance hours later and she was pale, shaken, but determined. 

Witnesses say she powered through the demanding scenes “like a total superhero”, refusing to let the production fall behind.

Acting alongside Elle Fanning and Nick, Nicole delivered every shot required for her role as Lace, a former wrestler-turned-lawyer, despite her condition worsening throughout the day.

However, the effort came at a cost as shortly after filming wrapped, the Oscar-winning actress was reportedly rushed to hospital, where she required an IV drip to recover.

Nick was left in awe of her dedication, praising her commitment and generosity. 

“That’s how you become Nicole Kidman,” he said, clearly impressed by her resilience.

The drama, based on Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel, promises high stakes and emotional twists, but it’s the behind-the-scenes grit that’s stealing the spotlight for now.
