Taj Jackson, who is the nephew of legendary singer, recently broke silence upon receiving different narratives about uncle, Michael.
The actor, Jaafar Jackson, who is the cousin of the 52-year-old starred in the biopic, Michael, dedicated to his uncle, showcasing to his fans how his life unfolded in front of him.
Now, the movie that is set to release on April 24, has received bad reviews as well as twisted media coverage.
Addressing the media, who are used to changing the narrative and talking badly about the Billy Jeans hit maker, Taj has come forward in an X post.
He said, “Sorry media, u don’t get to control the narrative anymore of who Michael Jackson truly was.”
He added, “The public gets to watch this movie, they will decide for themselves. And you can’t handle that.”
Elsewhere, on his social media, he also penned, “Can’t wait till some critics have to eat crow. And yes I will be that petty.
This comes after a few of the media outlets didn’t hold back and described the biopic with everything but good words like “ghoulish, soulless cash grab, depressing and frustratingly shallow.”
Despite the negative reviews, Taj stated on his social media platform that he is proud and his uncle and cousin “deserves” this and has earned respect and love.
