Khloé Kardashian is looking back at the humble beginnings of the Kardashian family empire, admitting that launching their first business came with little experience and plenty of uncertainty.

Speaking recently, the reality star recalled opening the DASH boutique in 2006 alongside her sisters Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian.

The trio’s first store was set up in Calabasas, California, marking their initial step into the fashion industry.

According to People, Khloé candidly admitted that the sisters had no formal business knowledge at the time.

With no employees, they handled everything themselves—from cleaning and steaming clothes to managing finances—while learning on the job.

The store was initially funded using a $50,000 credit card linked to their late father, a decision Khloé described as both bold and risky.

Moreover, the sisters’ mother, Kris Jenner, also played a key role in shaping their future.

Khloé revealed that Jenner convinced them to participate in a reality show by framing it as a way to promote the store—an idea that eventually led to the global success of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Despite its uncertain start, DASH grew into a recognizable brand, expanding to cities like Los Angeles, Miami, and New York before ultimately closing in 2018 as the sisters pursued individual ventures.
