Chloe Sims has opened up about an unexpected shift in her celebrity status following her relocation to Los Angeles.
During her recent chat, the ex TOWIE star, who moved to LA in 2022 with her sisters for their reality show House of Sims, revealed that the change in attention was immediate and unexpected.
Speaking on the Boyfriend Material podcast, she told the interviewer Harry Jowsey, “Nobody cares about me here. Literally no one gives a f**k.”
Harry responded, “There’s so much celebrity culture here too.”
The 44-year-old star added that she initially struggled with the shift, saying, “Yeah and I couldn’t work out whether I liked it or hated it. Because in one point of view I could pretty much be a normal person again but then it has it’s downfalls.”
She reflected on her UK fame compared to LA life, explaining, “I used to go to the toilet in London and girls would be like ‘Omg I love your hair’ and I’d be like ‘Thanks yours is nice too.’ Well I didn’t realise that was all because of TOWIE.”
“And then I moved to LA and all the girls were being really mean to me. I just noticed that no one knows me here I’m just a regular person.”
Despite the culture shock, Chloe said she’s enjoying life in the US, adding, “Life in LA is amazing. I’m not who I am in the UK. I’ve had time off from being famous, but I’m hoping that everyone in the city is going to know my name eventually.”
