James Lafferty has officially stepped into a brand-new role and that is dad.
The 40-year-old actor has welcomed his first child with wife Alexandra Park, and fans are already melting over the sweet announcement.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, the couple shared a beautiful black-and-white photo showing their hands gently wrapped around their newborn’s tiny fingers.
Alongside the emotional image, James wrote: “Love has new meaning,” revealing their baby’s name as River Jay Lafferty.
He also included the date “12/4/2025”, marking the moment their little one arrived.
The couple’s love story has been straight out of a modern-day romance script.
They first met when One Tree Hill actor directed episodes of The Royals, where Alexandra starred as the sharp and stylish Princess Eleanor Henstridge.
What began as a professional connection soon turned into something more, with the pair first linked in 2015.
By 2020, James had popped the question, announcing the engagement with a simple but excited “She said yeah”.
Two years later, they tied the knot in a laid-back, romantic beach wedding in Hawaii, with Alexandra stunning in lace and James keeping it classic in a tan suit.
The couple have also worked together on Everyone Is Doing Great, proving their on-screen chemistry is just as strong as their off-screen bond.
Speaking previously, James described working with Alexandra as their “greatest strength”, saying their friendship always comes first.
