KATSEYE, who now has Yoonchae, Daniela, Sophia, Lara and Megan as active members, face heavy scrutiny as they performed at Coachella’s Weekend 2.
The girl group raised questions about being biased with Manon who went on a hiatus due to health issues.
They brought the heat to the Coachella stage on their second time at the event and had a huge turnout for them.
However, the online community criticised the performers with one X user noting that people gathered for the headlining set of Sabrina Carpenter.
Another netizen was shocked as they gushed on the platform: “Still able to pull crowds this massive after the Manon incident is insane.”
A third user claimed that the support for KATSEYE is from “bots paid by the label to make” fans forget about the 23-year-old.
After Manon went on hiatus, the girls released their pop song Pinky Up which left the fans divided over the quality of its lyrics.
Many blamed admirers for pushing songs like Gnarly which is why the Gabriela hitmakers are now focusing on “brain rot” tracks.
While it was initially speculated that the singer on hiatus would join them for the musical event, fans were heartbroken to know she is not tagging along the group.
