Drake recently shares heartfelt reaction to his music producer and friend Tay Keith, who dies aged 29.
The rapper takes to Instagram on June 20, and pens an emotional note one day after the passing of longtime producer inside his Nashville, Tennessee apartment on Thursday following a wellness check, reported by WSMV.
Interestingly, the God’s Plan crooner also posted a portrait in memoriam of the late musician.
In the caption, Drake pays tribute to late Tay, whose real name is Brytavious Chambers, wrote, “Endless and eternal gratitude for your spirit and your contributions to this thing that we all love so much.”
“You will be deeply missed,” added the Iceman hit-maker.
Earlier, Metro Nashville Police said that the cause of death has not been revealed and the autopsy is underway.
For the unversed, Tay, whose real name was Brytavious Lakeith Chambers, was known for producing Travis Scott’s 2018 song, Sicko Mode featuring Drake.
The song, which is featured on Travis’ acclaimed album Astroworld, was nominated for Best Rap Song at the 61st annual Grammy Awards in 2019.
Earlier at the age of 14, Tay started his career in music with his original songs and remixes to YouTube.
The late producer’s first big production came in 2015 when he produced the lead single, Lil B***h for rapper Blac Youngsta's mixtape.
In 2018, Tay attained mainstream recognition after he produced the viral hit Rover for friend and rapper BlocBoy JB.
Meanwhile, the late producer earned a second Grammy nomination for Best Rap Song last year for producing Drake and 21 Savage's 2024 hit Rich Flex.
Over the years, Tay also produced songs for musicians including Beyonce, Doja Cat, Sexyy Red, Jack Harlow, Chris Brown, Gunna and Lil Baby.
