Daryl Sabara confirms death of father Roland Sabara in touching social media tribute
Actor Daryl Sabara has announced the death of his father, Roland Sabara, sharing the sad news just days before Father’s Day.
On Friday, June 19, the actor behind Spy Kids, 34, updated fans via his official Instagram account.
The shared post featured a photo of him with his late father, with text, which reads, “My Dad, Roland Sabara, passed away last night.”
“We only saw each other a couple of times, and I will cherish those memories forever. I know he did the best he could, and I know he's in a better place now.”
The news comes shortly after Sabara’s 34th birthday on June 14, which was celebrated by his wife Meghan Trainor, who shared a family video marking the occasion.
Sabara and Trainor share three children together, sons Riley and Barry, and daughter Mikey Moon, who was welcomed via surrogate in January 2026.
