Reality TV darling Lauren Conrad has revealed a hilariously awkward brush with the law, and it all happened during her driving test.

The former Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County star confessed she once got pulled over by police for driving too slowly, while still trying to earn her licence.

Speaking on The Drew Barrymore Show, the 40-year-old TV star admitted it remains one of her most embarrassing moments.

As she nervously navigated the test with her instructor beside her, a police officer suddenly flagged her down.

Recalling the surreal encounter, Lauren laughed: “He asked for my licence and registration — and my teacher had to explain we were actually working on getting the licence!”

The officer, clearly amused, decided to let her off the hook, but not without leaving a lasting impression.

“He said in 15 years he’d never seen anything like it,” she added.

Sadly for the fashion designer, the chaos meant she didn’t pass, but that’s not the only cheeky tale from her past.

The mum-of-two, who shares sons Liam and Charlie with husband William Tell, also lifted the lid on a rebellious teenage moment that took a surprising twist.

After sneaking out with friends for a late-night toilet-papering mission, Lauren expected serious trouble when her dad caught them.

Instead, he stunned the group by joining in.

“He told us to get in the car — I thought I was done for,” she said.

“But he just said we’d go home after… and took us toilet papering himself!”

These days, life is far calmer for Lauren, who has stepped away from the spotlight.

Living back in Laguna Beach, she says she feels “settled and happy”, embracing quiet family moments far from the chaos of fame.
