Ariana Grande, who is known for her chart-topping hit tracks, was snubbed this year at the Academy Awards.

The 32-year-old singer was defended by an admirer who asked the academy to “give her the Grammys she deserves.”

The official Instagram account of Grammys responded: “Every GRAMMY nomination is determined by peer review.”

They listed the one’s responsible for taking a decision to honour someone in a category, including musicians, producers, songwriters, and other music industry professionals.

These are the members that are responsible to decide by casting votes with the academy claiming that they are “always looking for ways to make it more transparent.”

One of the X users slammed the AMPAS for calling themselves transparent, writing: “Didn’t former voter say there were strange circumstances which led to Thank U, next and Ntltc not being nominated.”

Another netizen reminded everyone about the time when the Grammy winner “called yall out on Twitter for flying Mac Millers parents out” and not awarding him.

A third fan believes that Everyday songmaker’s name was used by them as a “smart move after boycotting her for years.”

Did Ariana Grande win any Grammys in 2026?

The We Can’t Be Friends crooner was honoured this year at the prestigious event in the category Best Pop Duo/ Group performance for Defying Gravity from Wicked.
