Lena Dunham has shared new details about her working relationship with Adam Driver.
During the filming of Girls, the 39-year-old American writer and director described several tense moments in her memoir, Famesick.
The HBO series, broadcasting between 2012 and 2017, was based on the life of the character Hannah Horvath (created by Dunham) and her complicated relationship with the character of Adam (Driver).
Dunham is of the opinion that the strength of their on-screen dynamic would occasionally translate to their work behind the camera.
In one of the rehearsals, Dunham remembers having problems remembering lines that she had written.
Dunham claims that Driver became frustrated and screamed, "FING SAY SOMETHING."
Moreover, she revealed he threw a chair at a wall, nearby. Then he called to her once more, she writes, "WAKE THE F UP. I'M SICK OF WATCHING YOU JUST STARE."
The Tiny Furniture star mentioned that the chair did not hit her directly but hit the wall next to her.
The Golden Globe Awarded claieds that she did not report the incident, but instead did more rehearsing.
Although she penned about these moments as terrifying, Dunham also characterizes their relationship as creatively intense as opposed to hostile, as Driver was also supportive and protective.
A spokesman of the Driver has not publicly addressed the allegations when snippets started to circulate.
