Blake Lively recently faced career uncertainty in Hollywood after legal setback.
According to Radar Online, a court judge dismissed key claims in sexual harassment case against Justin Baldoni and therefore, industry insiders warned the actress of becoming “dead in Hollywood” as the fallout intensified.
One crisis communications expert told the outlet that from “a reputational standpoint, this places Blake in a very precarious position”.
The expert further said that the path for the Age of Adaline actress “is undeniably difficult” and there’s a possibility Blake could find herself increasingly sidelined by brands and studios, who may now view the actress “as a risk”.
“Hollywood moves at an unforgiving pace. It thrives on momentum, and when that momentum falters, the system doesn't pause – it replaces,” said another insider.
One source close to the actress revealed that the latest legal decision has raised concerns about Blake’s reputation.
“There's an increasing sense within the industry that Blake is, in effect, becoming 'dead in Hollywood.' That is literally how she is now being assessed behind closed doors,” explained an insider.
However, the industry insider revealed that studio executives are “extremely cautious at the moment, particularly when it comes to controversy and the potential of court-ordered payouts”.
It is pertinent to note that when allegations made by Blake – be it sexual harassment, defamation, conspiracy – are dismissed at this stage, it doesn't just affect the legal case, it reshapes the entire public narrative around the actress.
