Malcolm in the Middle creator Linwood Boomer has recently explained how Finn Wolfhard’s cameo happened in an upcoming revival series.
In his latest interview, Boomer opened up that Wolfhard made an appearance in the finale of the Life’s Still Unfair’s four-part revival.
“His agent called us and said, ‘Can Finn visit the set?’ We go, ‘Shit, yeah,’” recalled the creator.
Boomer mentioned that Wolfhard “loves the show, he’s such a big fan of the show, and we’re like, ‘Well, there’s a part we haven’t cast yet. Does he wanna do that? I mean, it’s a small part’”.
“And he said, ‘Yeah, he wants to do it.’ And we were like, ‘Yeah, we want you to come, that’d be awesome,’” pointed out the creator.
Boomer’s executive producer wife Tracy Katsky chimed in and revealed that Wolfhard was “an absolute doll” on Malcolm in the Middle set.
“He was so great. He’s so charming, it’s so fun to watch him do comedy,” remarked Katsky.
For those unaware, Frankie Muniz reprises his once-angsty teenage character, who is now a father of his own. Wolfhard plays the role of an event planner whom Jane Kaczmarek’s character Lois Wilkerson hires for her and Hal’s (played by Bryan Cranston) wedding anniversary party in the Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair show.
Meanwhile, Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair already begins premiering on Disney+ and Hulu on April 10.
