Cameron Diaz reflects on her journey with fame after 30 years

Cameron Diaz has recently reflected on her journey with fame since her movie debut in 1994.

The American actress looks back at her more than three decades acting career as she chats about her new Apple TV comedy, Outcome.

“It's a journey. I think it's different for everybody. It's been 30 some odd years,” says the 53-year-old in a new interview with PEOPLE.

Cameron continues, “It's like you've galloped in it, you've trotted in it, you've walked in it, and you kind of settle into it and find your rhythm.”

Interestingly, the Back in Action actress notes that’s just kind of how it works and it’s hard to explain.

Elsewhere in the interview, Cameron reveals that she resonates with her character in the new movie, starring alongside Keanu Reeves, Jonah Hill and Matt Bomer.

“I also think that this movie shows [fame] in a very interesting light and a very heightened light,” she tells the outlet.

Cameron adds, “Everybody thinks they want to be famous, but there is a cost to it. So it's a cautionary comedy.”

Meanwhile, Outcome starts premiering on Apple TV from April 10.
