Emma Roberts’ father addresses ‘bad blood’ rumour with his daughter

Emma Roberts’ dad Eric finally addresses the rumour about their complicated relationship.

The Runaway Train actor clarifies that he has no issue with American Horror Story actress.

During an appearance on latest episode of Really Famous With Kara Mayer Robinson, Eric, who shares Emma with ex Kelly Cunningham, says, “It’s only complicated through outside eyes.”

“Because they don’t get any of it. So, they have their own take, whatever that is,” continues the 69-year-old.

Eric admits that he’s proud of his daughter Emma as he reflects on his fatherhood journey.

The King of the Gypsies actor talks about the challenges he faced after becoming a father.

He recalls that Emma was born at a time when he was not in a good place emotionally because of his drug addiction.

“I was a wash rag… I was not to be depended on emotionally whatsoever,” remarks Eric.

The Specialist actor described himself as a “car wreck,” in the past, but now he takes full responsibility for his relationship with his daughter.

Recalling Emma’s birth, Eric revealed that she was “screaming her head off” until he started singing “Happy Birthday” to her.

“She stopped screaming and tried to find my face with her little blind eyes,” mentioned the Dark Knight actor.

Eric explained that it “was the most complete moment maybe I have ever had in my life. That something I did was recognised by a brand-new creature who had my DNA”.

“And there she was, and she already knew me,” added the actor.
